Aussie actress Melissa George (Alias, Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night) is in final negotiations to steam up the set of Grey's Anatomy by playing a bisexual intern who has a lesbian tryst with one of the leading characters. George, 32, is poised to sign on as a regular to appear in the current fifth season of the hit US show, website ew.com said. The gig would reportedly see her play a budding medico with a crush on one of the show's established female characters, with early speculation pointing to either Callie (Sara Ramirez) or Erica (Brooke Smith).
This is just like some nasty child custody case as Project Runway is being torn at the seams between the greedy hands of Bravo and the greedy hands of Lifetime.
And what is even more sad then Heather Locklear's arrest was that Hottie Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson got married Saturday! People magazine reports the couple quietly exchanged vows in Canada, at a remote wilderness resort just outside of Vancouver. Ryan proposed to Scarlett earlier this year in May (around the same time Heather was reportedly trying to kill herself) after a very brief period of dating (we're talking a little over a year).
Why? Why? Why?
Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday in Santa Barbara and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence , but there was no alcohol involved. Officers suspected she was jacked up on something.

Synopsis: From the director of Wolf Creek comes this terrifying look at nature's perfect killing machine. When a group of tourists stumble into the remote Australian river territory of an enormous crocodile, the deadly creature capsizes their boat - trapping them on a tiny mud island with the tide quickly rising and darkness descending. As the hungry predator closes in for the kill, they must fight for survival against all odds.
My Review: I have been anxiously awaiting for this movie for some time now. Originally it was suppose to be released in theaters way back in early 2007, but kept getting shelved for various reasons. Finally out on DVD, I was able to enjoy another creature feature... you just got to love killer animal flicks. Directed by Aussie Greg McLean, Rogue takes place in the breathtaking Australian wilds. Mclean spends a great deal of time showing the viewer the natural beauty of his homeland. The film starts off with a believable group of tourists, including travel writer, Pete (Michael Vartan), who have paid to take a tour boat cruise with tour guide (Radha Mitchell) into the waters in the Northern Territory of Australia to watch the nature of the beautiful land and the crocodiles of the rivers.
While returning back to the resort they notice a distress flare up in the sky so they travel off course into sacred waters to see if anyone needs any help. Unfortunately they encounter a rogue large-ass crocodile that is hungry and pissed off that they entered it's lair so it crashes the boat into a small mud island, stranding the tourists. Well when night falls, the tide comes in and the little mud island starts to disappear and they soon realize that they better figure a way off the island pronto. Of course dry land is some 50-100 yards away and swimming seems out of the question with a hungry crocodile lurking about.

The crocodile hunts them mostly at night so we don't get to see much of the beast in action. When he does strike, he moves so fast that the camera can't keep him up with him. Rogue may be no Jaws, but it stakes its own claim as a taunt "man versus nature" film, with believable characters, tense moments, and one of the best monsters to come from Down Under. The CGI of the crocodile was amazing and looked very real (the fluid way the beast slides into the water, gliding across the surface as it propels itself to strike is a very striking image). The ending was pretty good as our wayward hero stumbles into the monster's lair and does battle as only a horror movie hero can. The crocodile tries to get his giant head into a lot of nooks and crannies and managed to score a couple of contact wounds.
Overall, I liked this film a lot and it's the best killer crocodile film I have ever seen (much better than Primeval, Blood Surf, Crocodile, and Lake Placid). Highly recommend.
Movie Rating: 4.5/5

Madonna is among a series of celebrities portrayed in a special edition of Lego miniatures. Others include Sir Cliff, Amy Winehouse, Posh and Becks, Angelina, Brad and their twins, the X Factor judges and Alan Titchmarsh. Unfortunately, the Lego stars will not be available to the public as they have been created purely to celebrate the Lego's 30th anniversary.
My Review: I finally got around to watching the "remake" of Prom Night on DVD and then it has taken me some time to actually review it, so here we go. First off this is NOT a remake of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis film. The only similarity between the two is the title and that both films have a prom in them. That's it. Nothing else even slightly resembles the 80's film. I enjoyed the original immensely in my youth and I still think it holds up today, of course I love Jamie Lee Curtis, which probably makes me somewhat biased. But it had a great mystery as to the killer's identity and it was rated R.

So I know I'm a day late on this, but I was not able to watch the season finale of Big Brother 10 till last night (thanks Tivo). With 7-0 vote, Dan Gheesling won the $500,000.00 prize over fellow Renegade, Memphis (aka Robert Garrett).
I was happy Dan won, because I thought he deserved it. Dan was the strongest player and was able to manipulate and charm his other housemates since day 1. Of course I would have loved to see Renny Martyn take the prize, as that crazy old bat won my heart weeks ago. And true to form, Renny was very outspoken and entertaining this last episode-I especially loved her comments to Jerry (another crazy old bat or should I say snake). Keesha Smith took the $25K for America's favorite player. All and all, another great season of Big Brother!
Here's some juicy tidbits of Heroes Season 3: Villians, premiering September 22nd, 2008:
At the 2008 TCA Press Tour, it was announced that 8 new episodes of Nip/Tuck - the remainder of Season 5 - will begin to air in November 2008 (who knew?). The sixth and final season of Nip/Tuck will consist of 19 episodes and will premiere in August 2009. Also joining for 4 episodes is actress Rose McGowan who will play the part of Dr. Thoedora 'Teddy' Lowe. This will reunite her with former Charmed co star Julian McMahon.
Synopsis: It came from nowhere. The only warning was the endless rumbling of a growing earthquake. Then the water came—crashing, rushing water, covering everything. Destroying everything. When it stopped, all that was left was the gentle lapping of waves against the few remaining buildings rising above the surface of the sea. Will the isolated survivors be able to rebuild their lives, their civilization, when nearly all they knew has been wiped out? It seems hopeless. But what lurks beneath the swirling water, waiting to emerge, is far worse. When the flood waters finally recede, the true horror will be revealed.
My Review: This post-apocalyptic story begins with a flood of biblical proportions coming and going in just three days. Only those people at the top of high buildings or elevations survive. But as soon as the water recedes, the survivors are faced with a sodden environment clogged with the many bodies of the dead. Single parent Steve and his young teenage daughter Abby set out on a expedition from London to Scotland to reunite with his ex-wife and son, along the way collecting more survivors (Max, the black teen & Susan the dyke cop, among others). Already challenged by limited food supplies, suitable shelter and confronted with other more aggressive survivors, Morris further stacks the deck against our travellers by tossing in an insidious alien menace and some mysterious blue lightning. Although The Deluge contains all the ingredients needed for an action-packed, gut-wrenching adventure; a diverse cast of interesting characters, harrowing escapes, traumatic losses and the enduring human spirit, I was slightly disappointed in the overall outcome. The central mystery of the aliens’ origins and the cause of the flood were never concluded to my satisfaction. I would have liked a few answers as to the origin of the flood and the evil that it brought forth. I'm not saying I need everything tied up perfectly, but a little more information and details about the enemy would have been nice. All we are given is that the water not only washed away human society but also uncovered either an alien plot, or, creatures from below the surface of the Earth. These aliens are able to take human form and use the bodies of the dead to incubate their young. The book never makes it clear what or where the aliens are from and Morris teases the idea all the way through to the ending of the book, which was not really an ending at all. Did he leave the story open for a sequel? Lets hope so!

Today is a day many of us would rather forget and none of us ever will. It’s already a long time past but it still has an effect on all of us…a day of infamy…a day that ultimately bound us tight in the face of adversity. At the time I did not know anyone that experienced 9/11 first hand, but now almost everyone knows someone who knew someone. So today, in a moment of reflection, everyone should take a minute to ponder both what happened and what matters to us... it's a great day to make sure our priorities are straight... hug your loved ones just because you can... call a friend... say hello to a stranger. America may not be a perfect place but we do far more things right than wrong, and freedom as we enjoy it is a threat to some who wish us harm. Freedom is the best remembrance.
Back in June, Johnston & Murphy - an upscale American shoe maker- picked David Duchovny as the leading ad endorser of the brand. But this didn’t last long for the company and the X-Files leading man, as Johnston & Murphy soon pulled out Duchovny from the deal as soon as Duchovny checked himself into rehab for sex addiction. Poor David!
