Janet Jackson-Discipline Reviews

Poor Poor Janet. I really wanted to like your new album, Discipline, but.... it sucks! And apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so. Don't get me wrong, Feedback is a GREAT song, and I hope all the best that it gets up to #1 on the singles chart but the rest of the album is horrible.
Most reviews of Discipline have not been kind:
From the
Washington Post:
Her fluttery delivery on the pornographic litany of the title track is meant to sound like she’s trembling on the verge of ecstasy. Instead it feels more like someone, well, faking it.

From
News Day:
“Discipline” is about the concerns of 14-year-old boys expressed with the same amount of finesse that they would use.

From the
Boston Globe:
Jackson’s decision to recycle the nympho routine one more time is just boring.

From the
Canadian Press:
By disc’s end, her message becomes painfully obvious: Jackson’s a hot 40-something with a sensitive side. Yet sadly we’ve heard it all before.

Yes-we have heard all this before-like the last 3 albums. Time to get back to dance. Hard-core dance. Only dance. Nobody wants to hear about your strawberry anymore. Discipline turned out to be a big dud and I had such high hopes for JJ this time around. At least I have the concert tour to look forward to in September. The girl can put on a show!
