It's Britney, Bitch !!!
Y'All... Britney Spears new album, Blackout, drops
today with many wondering how bad it will actually be. Let me say, I had personally given up on the white trash, washed-up punchline that Brit Brit has become. Yet I was drawn to listen to her new album like it was some horrific car accident I was passing on the highway and could not help but slow down and crane my neck to catch a glimpse.
And let me be the first to tell you, Blackout just might be Britney's best album yet! Even though her personal life is a joke and she seriously needs to rethink all her "friends", the electro-pop dancefest that is Blackout, is amazing and addictive. Maybe she hasn't completely lost it (just her children).
Highly recommend!

DVD Release - Twin Peaks-The Definitive Gold Box Edition
Yeah Baby!! Finally David Lynch has released Twin Peaks, the entire series. This collection is promised to hold some bad-ass extras! Twin Peaks starts off as a basic murder mystery, but rapidly becomes something a lot stranger, eerie and even more frightening. It becomes a bit weaker during the second season -- especially when Laura's killer is revealed prematurely -- but it's still strange and darkly humorous right up to the flawed cliffhanger ending. Unfortunately Fire Walk With Me, the theatrical prequel to the series is not found here, probably because of rights issues. So go out and get your copy, drink some damn fine coffee and enter the brilliant quirkiness that is Twin Peaks!
From CBS Home Entertainment's own website:
Co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost and a large number of the cast and crew have returned to participate in this extraordinary new collection.
"Finally the pilot is together with the series. The picture looks clean with good color correction. The sound is really good," said David Lynch. "I think this is a great definitive Twin Peaks Gold Set - the Gold represents the highest quality. A lot of work has gone in to this, and in my opinion it has really paid off." "Working closely with David Lynch, I believe we've put together the ultimate Twin Peaks DVD box set with the most unique, interesting and comprehensive collection of content possible that will more than excite the ardent fan and engage new ones," commented Ken Ross, Executive Vice President and General Manager, CBS Home Entertainment. "And we drank some damn good cups of coffee along the way.'"
This 10-disc set includes "Greetings from Twin Peaks" collectible postcards and a plethora of special features, including hours of newly-minted bonus content, featuring exclusive cast and crew interviews and rare footage never before released on DVD, produced by award-winning DVD producer Charles de Lauzirika ("Alien Quadrilogy," "Spider-Man 2: Special Edition," "Blade Runner: The Final Cut.")
"Secrets from Another Place: Creating Twin Peaks" is a collection of four new documentaries exploring the origins, production and impact of the show. The cast and crew, including co-creator Mark Frost, composer Angelo Badalamenti, singer Julee Cruise, actors Kyle MacLachlan, Joan Chen, Piper Laurie, Ray Wise, Sheryl Lee, Kenneth Welsh, Maedchen Amick, Miguel Ferrer and many others share their memories of creating the show in this in-depth piece covering the sensational and tumultuous evolution of TWIN PEAKS in four parts: "Northwest Passage: Creating the Pilot," "Freshly Squeezed: Creating Season One," "Where We're From: Creating the Music" and "Into the Night: Creating Season Two."
Co-creator and four-time Academy Award(R) nominee David Lynch, Kyle MacLachlan and Maedchen Amick take an amusing look back at the series in "A Slice of Lynch," an all-new get-together of friends over piping hot coffee and sweet cherry pie.
"Return to Twin Peaks" follows a group of devoted fans to the 2006 Twin Peaks Festival, where the show's faithful have been regularly gathering for costume contests, celebrity sightings, trivia games and other wildness in the woods outside of Seattle.
And an Interactive Map allows viewers to revisit the show's unforgettable locations as they appear today...and how to find them in real life.
Thought to have been lost forever, a selection of deleted scenes has been unearthed for this collection and approved by David Lynch, offering viewers additional clues and background on some of their favorite characters and locations in the series.
The collection showcases the phenomenon that was TWIN PEAKS with such archival nuggets as the "Saturday Night Live" opening monologue and "Twin Peaks" sketch featuring Kyle MacLachlan, the "Falling" music video featuring Julee Cruise, the Richard Beymer behind-the-scenes photo gallery, original network promo spots and many more rare gems! Newly remastered from the original negative and personally approved by David Lynch, the episodes have never looked better. Moreover, viewers will have the option of enjoying the episodes in either new 5.1 Surround Sound or the original 2.0 network television audio.

Return to House on Haunted Hill (2007)
Sarah Wolfe (Ali Larter) was the only living survivor from the massacre at the Vanacutt Mansion, but no one believed her claims that ghosts were responsible for the gruesome murders that took place there. Now her recent and questionable suicide leaves her sister, Ariel, no choice but to devote herself to finding out who - or what - was responsible for her death. Ariel (Amanda Righetti) discovers that Sarah sent her the diary of the sadistic Dr. Vanacutt just before she died, offering clues to the diabolical evil that resides within the house. But the diary also makes Ariel a target in a deadly treasure hunt that leads a group of unwitting victims back to the Vanacutt Mansion, reawakening the terror imprisoned within the house on the hill. This time, the house and the evil spirits inside are out to make sure that no one leaves alive.
My Review: Honestly, I kind of dug this movie. OK it was a b-movie and by no means as good as the first installment: House on Haunted Hill (1999). But I enjoyed the creepiness of the setting as I have always been intrigued with the concept of the haunted hospital/asylum. The ghosts and death scenes were well done ( for straight to DVD) and this film dives more into the history of the house and gives us more insight into why and how the house is the way it is. Sure, there are several plot holes (i.e there were two survivors from the first movie), but does one really watch horror movies for plot direction and award-winning acting? Fuck No! We watch to see gore and violence. We watch to be scared if not amused by repetitive cliches. We watch to see stupid motherfuckers get cut the fuck up. Anyway, I enjoyed this short movie (clocking in about 1hr and 20 mins) and really enjoyed seeing Amanda Righetti (OC, North Shore & Reunion) again. Why is this girl not working more?
Movie Rating: 4/5

Bloody Brillant! Dumbledore is Gay!
You've probably heard by now that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling outed her character Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore during a question-and-answer session at Carnegie Hall Friday night in response to a question from a 19-year-old fan. He asked, "Did Dumbledore, who believed in the prevailing power of love, ever fall in love himself?"
Rowling replied, to the reported shock and delight of the audience there: "My truthful answer to you...I always thought of Dumbledore as gay...Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald [a bad wizard he defeated long ago], and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was. To an extent, do we say it excused Dumbledore a little more because falling in love can blind us to an extent, but he met someone as brilliant as he was and, rather like Bellatrix, he was very drawn to this brilliant person and horribly, terribly let down by him...Yeah, that's how I always saw Dumbledore. In fact, recently I was in a script read-through for the sixth film, and they had Dumbledore saying a line to Harry early in the script saying, 'I knew a girl once, whose hair...' I had to write a little note in the margin and slide it along to the scriptwriter, "Dumbledore's gay!"
The revelation had fans looking for new meaning in some of the passages.

Jamie Lee Curtis- The Scream Queen!
Jamie Lee Curtis is the queen of all "Scream Queens". No other actress has been able to dethrone her status since she first debuted on the screen in the late 70's. Jamie Lee and Halloween go hand in hand. Every year in October, I watch Michael Myers stalk his baby sister on that dark, relentless night of terror, Halloween!
Curtis' film debut was in the 1978 horror classic Halloween, playing the lead role of Laurie Strode, the only teenage character in the film who is not killed. The film was a major success and was considered the highest grossing independent film of its time, earning status as a classic horror film. Curtis was subsequently cast in several horror films, garnering her the title of a "scream queen".
Her next film following Halloween was the horror film, The Fog, which was directed by "Halloween" director John Carpenter. The film opened in February 1980 to mixed reviews but strong box office, further cementing Curtis as a horror film starlet. Her next film, Prom Night, was a low-budget Canadian slasher film released in July 1980. The film, for which she earned a Genie Award nomination for Best Performance by a Foreign Actress, was similar in style to Halloween, yet received negative reviews which marked it as a disposable entry in the then active "slasher film" genre. That year, Curtis also starred in Terror Train, which opened in October met with a negative reaction akin to Prom Night. Both films performed only moderately well at the box office. Curtis had a similar function in both films - the main character whose friends are murdered, and is practically the only protagonist to survive. Film critic Roger Ebert, who had given negative reviews to all three of Curtis' 1980 films, said that Curtis "is to the current horror film glut what Christopher Lee was to the last one-or Boris Karloff was in the 1930s". Curtis later appeared in Halloween II, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and Halloween: Resurrection.
