Sex & The City: The Movie | More, More, More :(

Last night at the Public Library party for the DVD of the film, Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed there would be sequels to Sex and the City: The Movie.
Michael is off to write the next installment. Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall are very excited to see what he comes up with. They anticipate the next installment for Summer 2010.

I'm not sure this is such a great idea and I have some reservations on more movies. As much as I loved the series and subsequent movie back in May, they should let this old lady rest in peace. Why make something that may leave a bad taste in everybody's mouth. Nobody wants to eat grandma's pussy!

Following the success of the first volume, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and which held the #1 soundtrack chart position for several weeks, volume two contains even more music from the hit movie. Volume 2 will be released September 23rd!

Sex & The City: The Movie | DVD Cover (September 23rd 2008)

Can we get a Woo Woo!! Sex and the City: The Movie will be coming to DVD on September 23rd, 2008!! The movie will be released in 1-disc theatrical ($28.98) and 2-disc ($34.99) extended cut editions.
The extended cut edition will include additional footage, as well as a Fabulous Fashion of Sex and the City featurette with costume designer Patricia Fields, intimate conversations with cast and crew, and a digital copy of the film. More features to be announced later.

Kim Cattrall Has 'Sensitive Skin'

Kim Cattrall has landed on her back yet again as she will be working as executive producer and starring in HBO’s upcoming comedy “Sensitive Skin.”
Apparently Cattrall's involvement in “Sensitive Skin” was part of the development deal she negotiated when reprising her role as Samantha in the Sex and the City movie. This bitch doesn't mess around!
“Sensitive Skin” is based on a BBC series, with Kim Cattrall playing a New York wife and mom who “rediscovers her sexuality, and subsequently starts to question choices she has made in life.”

Sex Does Sell! The Ladies Take The #1 Spot

Despite making a massive $27M on Friday night, the Sex & The City movie ended up with about $56M when all of the weekend estimates were calculated. Coming in at #1, it actually beat out that old fart,Indiana Jones (#2 with $46M) and the horror movie, The Strangers (#3 with $20M). I'm sure the numbers will drastically die down in subsequent weeks, but the DVD release should boost sales even higher. And YES, they are already talking a sequel!!!
