Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday in Santa Barbara and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence , but there was no alcohol involved. Officers suspected she was jacked up on something. The cops believe that she was "driving erratically" and seemed "disoriented and impaired" due to prescription medication. She was released without having to post bail.
Locklear, 47, was booked for suspicion of driving, while high on prescription drugs on Saturday before she made bail out of the Santa Barbara County Jail at about 11:30 p.m., authorities said.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff released a mug shot of the fried actress, with running mascara and dark roots showing through her bleached blonde hair.
“She [Locklear] was observed by a citizen pulling out of a parking lot and the woman [witness] thought she [Locklear] was driving really erratically,” CHP spokesman Tom Marhsall said.
Locklear passed tests to show she wasn’t drunk, but cops figured out she was impaired on an undisclosed prescription drug, officials said.
This has not been a good year for Heather Locklear. Back in May cops were called to Locklear’s home when a 911 call was made out of fear for Locklear’s safety. A concerned friend thought she might have been suicidal.
Locklear also spent time in a rehab/psych ward in June to get help with her depression/anxiety.
